HRT... too funny
HRT were very generous this weekend, they had a plasma screen facing the general public behind their pit garage....
... which I would have presumed would show either the on-course teev coverage, or perhaps the live feed of the Natsoft timing system. Instead, it had an HRT DVD release on constant rotation, showing highlights of the golden years of HRT.... A cynic may take the view that this was to distract the loyal fans from the truly dreadful ontrack performances of the team leader, by using a virtual time machine  Too funny by half...

GTR's observation would perhaps be a viable one if HRT had been providing a plasma screen all year for the fans, but this has not been so.
From what I could see, the plasma screen was specially placed to flog off the new history-of-HRT DVD, which I think is called The HRT Story. Point-of-sale marketing, one would suggest, nothing more sinister or ulterior about it ... |

Its not fair I tell you.
HRT put out a VHS or DVD season review of their team every year, full of sickening "we win again" and "total domination" stories and features. This year I was looking forward to getting the 2004 HRT Review DVD because I thought it would be a real laugh. Instead they bring out a history DVD. No fair

Called Marketing everybody??????
What other team produces this type of product for the public? I've been watching a few of the older tapes 98 and 99 and they are not as bias as you would imagine, and this when Skaife and Lowndes were creaming every man and his dog! |

I think it was a great move by HRT to do that, cause now every HRT fan who saw it will wanna buy it, if u want people to buy your merchandise, u have to market it, and the HRT boys did that very well, great advertising and marketing by HRT, so I dunno why u find it so funny, cause i believe the money we spend on their stuff goes back into the team.

actually, very little of the money goes to the team. Most goes back to Holden Motorsport, same for any of the TWR teams....
