Interesting to see how the teams are now doing more laps and (presumably) longer runs in preparation for Melbourne.

Quick, tell Rennen, after all, anyone (according to a previous post of his) using a 2004 car for testing as opposed to a 2005 car has missed the boat, thats it, Ferrari haven't got a prayer this season |

Contrasting reports - Autosport are saying MS was in the 2004 car, F1 Racing say the F2004M!

Barrichello was in the 2004M, which is Ferrari's interim 2005 spec car.

If you look at the Minardi laps, you'll find that only Albers did any serious running.
You don't seriously think Kiesa is 6s a lap slower and Nissany 10s do you? |

Kiesa's not rubbish.
He's not top drawer, but he's an F3 and F3000 race-winner and I expect he'll have an edge over Albers on pace. |

Hmmm....2003 evidence suggests otherwise.

Yeah I watched Kiesa in the Formula Vauxhall championship I think in 1998 or maybe 1999, his name was always at the top of the timesheets.

Where he did 5 races with no F1 experience, no testing, no track knowledge in most cases, at a team on a budget where he couldn't really push for fear of damaging the car? I know the modern world is all about writing people off immediately, but to call him rubbish on the basis of that is very unfair. |

Yes, but Formula Vauxhall isn't quite F1 standard is it?
Look at his performances in the Minardi in 2003. Awful, often miles off Verstappen! He looked out of his depth. But he came out with the usual "I'm learning", "I'm new", "I'm just looking to be solid" ****. If he set out with a positive "I'd like to impress prospective team owners" then maybe he would've done better. Last edited by Knowlesy; 4 Feb 2005 at 21:08. |

keisa is fast we know that, he raced f3000 and was no slouch! keisa has potential
as for nissany he should not even be in f1 being 10 seconds slow.. wasnt he like 20 seconds slower in the jordan? lol look at drivers like rossiter, just out of f3 and the are within 3-4 seconds of the fastest guy... |

Nissany is not 10s a lap off, he's done tests before where he is about 3 seconds away.
He is not "in F1" - he is merely living his dream of driving the cars. |
