Turkey
Hi ive just seen a video of this circuit and it really is Tilke's best well i think it is, has such nice flowing sections. Nice track ...... btw P i seem to remember you did an edit of it and the hairpin before the back strech just after the multi apex corner and it is fine its got a down hill aproach to the hairpin, really nice track better than i expected anyway.

Well, i dont know, but it'll have to be good to knock Sepang off the spot as the best Tilke-track! .
Those altitude changes you described do sound interesting though, and that multi-apex corner will most certainly be a classic. |

P's edit of Istanbul...
Video of the Circuit (Myself (and I believe Wooshy as well) originally found it here) It's very slow to download, over 17mb as well, however, worth the wait in my opinion... |

The only trouble is the QuickTime software I have isn't adequate to download it. If there's a way to format it differently, great.
As for the circuit, if I don't see the video, I'll wait till the Grand Prix to pass any real judgment on the circuit. |

After seeing the circuit from the video, here is my edit of it...
I decided to smooth out some of the ragged corners Tilke has made. I don't know if this was his statement or what, but I really don't like them, because whose going to use them anyway. To be honest, by putting them in, he probably TOTALLY got rid of the chance for any overtaking there (although I doubt it would have been possible anyway)... The bottom part of the map, I made the straight that little bit longer, and the right-hander a lot quicker, rather then two slow corners... The next part I changed, I wanted to get the same feel as Hatzenbachbogen from Nurburgring. I don't know if the F1 cars will have to slow down there, or eaze of the throttle, but with my edit, there is no doubt ... The last part, well, it's simple, I cut out a lot of it ... I really don't like that part of the circuit, and I think that this way, the circuit is much more cleaner... Otherwise (and I never thought I'd say this), good job Tilke ... |

Well, it'll be interesting to see how the cars handle the multi apex. It's gonna be quite a challenge to keep as high throttle as possible through there.

It looks to have a fair bit of elevation changes . But why did they have to cut down ALL the forest? .

And here's my edit of Istanbul:
Rounded off the second corner Lengthened the straight between that and T3 a bit Rounded off T4/5 Smoothed out the multi-apex left a bit, now is only 3 turns Rounded off the kink on the backstraight The corner at the end of said straight changed Second-to-last corner scrapped Last corner turned into a sweeper onto the pit straight Since the course centered around the pit straight had been turned into an oval, two chicanes have been added to lengthen the lap Yep, that's about it.
