Stupid decision. Never been a fan of swapping drivers mid season. Never worked with Brundle/Suzuki in '95 and it won't work now...

It worked quite well with Schumacher in 1991.

I really can't understand this, Klien has done a solid job as well. But I can see why he's been chosen for Imola.

Shame for Klien after doing such a good job, but it will be interesting to see how Luizzi goes in an F1 race, he's been quick in the 3rd car during Friday testing.

Red Bull are pushy, they threw Klien in at the deep end and now pull him out when he's capitalising nicely on his rookie year. Apprently Luizzi is in for the next 3 races.
I'm a bit miffed Luizzi's manager wanted to run AD some years back, and I turned him down!...That's life! |

Liuzzi does deserve a break. I'd like to see him race. It is a shame that Klein is being dropped as he is doing well at the moment. Maybe Liuzzi will quicker than DC, although I suspect Klein had a chance to do this too. We'll see. Last edited by Adam43; 5 Apr 2005 at 18:12. |

I hope this doesn't spoil Kliens momentum - he has done so well in the last 3 races - much better than expected,
Good luck to Luizzi - it'll be good to see how he races alongside some decent competition |

Seeing how they qualified at Bahrain, perhaps Klien shouldn't have been ditched. He outqualified DC 2 out of 3 times.

So is qualifying everything to you, Jordi?
Look at the points table! I wouldn't say this swap was unfair on Klien - he largely knew the situation before the season started. |

Oops - sorry Jordi - I'd interpreted your comment to mean you thought DC should be dropped.
You didn't say or even imply that. My apologies. |

We all want to see how Liuzzi copes with racing an F1 car, but I really don't think it should be at the expense of Klien. It's wrong. Of course, we all knew this was going to happen at the start of the season (the drivers too!), but I still think it's wrong. Red Bull strike again.

If Liuzzi had done the first three races, and then Klien was to start at Imola, people would have said it was unfair on Liuzzi.
The fact the team has been more competitive than expected does not change anything. Klien will be back. |

Good luck to Vito, but I feel Red Bull may be sacrificing points in order to do this, since I feel Klien has been generally underrated by many fellow posters, and just as likely to score points as the Jaw that joked. He's still the youngest driver in F1, after all.
Otherwise, kudos to Red Bull for exceeding expectations so far. |

I'm sure that if Klien had trashed the car in the first three races then it'd be suggested that RBR had done the right thing by keeping their options open.
As it turns out - and against my pre-season expectations - Klien has done a great job with the opportunity he's been given of showing that he deserves a race seat. It's now down to Liuzzi to prove that he is worthy of the same considerations. It'll be interesting to see what RBR do if both their young drivers show the same level of talent. |

we all new they were going to swap them over during the year, I suppose it makes sense to do it at tracks like Imola that Luizzi knows. I wonder who will do Friday 3rd car duties, surely they won't get one of the GP2 guys to double up on the first weekend of the season?

Of course Liuzzi could suck, and then Klien's street-cred would sky rocket no end.
