Tyke should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Gurston Thanks

A big 'thank you' to all the Gurston Marshals and Rescue Crew who helped me when I ended up on top of the bank after my throttle stuck open at Ashes. It certainly gave me a bit of a fright and I was really grateful for all the help and kindness. I know you will say you were only doing your job, but you really made me feel better. A circuit racing friend who was watching said he had never seen such a professional job of car recovery and was amazed (and Dave and I are extremely grateful) that you managed to get the car down such a steep bank (it felt like 1 in 1 on the way up!) without any futher damage. Please pass on my thanks to anyone concerned who doesn't read ten-tenths.

Lynne, the main thing is that you were OK.

Thank you your kind words, they are appreciated, and I have forwarded the link onto a few people on the post with me at Ashes.

See you racing at Gurston again soon.

As KatKitten says, no probs, it's what we're there for.
It's great when we know everyone's ok - that's the kick for us!!!

lynne we apprectated your thanks . yes we do feel its our job but most marshalls are there for the love of the sport, no one wants to see any driver hurt or any damage to cars just glad we managed to get your car down safely with no damage . just dont make a habit of it!!!

Having viewed your car's attempts (at least 3 I think) to finally mount the bank, I was very relieved to watch you make your own exit from the scene. Looked awful scary from Karousel.

For what it's worth though, I must echo your friend's comments about the recovery. We were all wondering just how it was going to be accomplished, with the available equipment, and were likewise suitable impressed. WELL DONE ALL.

But as you said, after your "calm-down" cup of tea,.....................

at least it'll give Dave something to do this week !!!!
