Anyone received tickets/passes for Brands Night Race?
Has anyone received tickets/passes yet for the Britcar night race at Brands on Saturday? I haven't had anything through yet.

There was a much easier to read timetable than this on the site earlier, I'll see if I can dig it out again...

That's the one, not sure how accurate it is, but I don't think it will change much. |

Well it has changed from that. There isn't going to be the 20min race for the BARC SEC saloons through lack of interest, although i think most of the rest is similar.

The correct (or most recent timetable) is the one shown by "spottymarshal". The good news is the entry list is pretty much full. T&R have 30 plus 4 reserves, Britcar day race has 34, night race has 30, Britsports has 19 with some very quick cars. It will be cold but at least it should be dry.

T&R is the BARC south east saloons, which will still have two championship races, the champion is still to be decided (probably Bill Richards or Richard Brent). It was the allcomers race which has been canned. Hopefully that will ensure a proper lunch break.

Now I'll be the first to admit that
1) the Britsports grid was a little light on entries; 2) it was quite chilly both at the start and the end, and; 3) I was utterly gutted when the Noble had its throttle stuck open moment. But any deficiencies were handsomely made up for by: 1) the excellent BARC-SE grid; 2) the Britcar races (especially the race after dark with flame spitting Ford Falcon car number 6), and; 3) the excellent company on post - it was great to see so many marshals for a Saturday meeting. Long may the EERC roadshow continue providing some good entertainment. Tim (who feels a lot warmer after hour long soak in hot bath). |

Well as this seems to be a Post 3 convention , the company at 3 was great and showed a great team spirit.
I ended up having to sit in the drivers seat of the Noble as the driver said he didn't feel up to it and it was quite an experience not being able to see where you were going. Considering the hit he gave the tyres I was just glad when I got to him he was ok although very shaken. I'm even thinking I might go out to Zolder next year £69 for 2 nights in a 4* Hotel can't be bad . Last edited by spottymarshal; 19 Nov 2005 at 23:44. Reason: Aditional text |

Re the Zolder hotel,it is 69 euros a night. That is about £40.And yes it is 4 star and about 5 min drive from the track. Was a good circuit and the marshals overthere will be very welcoming.A worthy trip if you can make.Don't forget James is going to be running Silverstone on his own next year with no help from brscc. If you wanna come and help the club take its next step folward please let Claire atClaire.williams@eerc.co.uk know.Heres to a fantastic 06.

Where did you hear this from as clearly it would be a major move to run a 24 hour meeting on their own - where would they get licensed officials from ?? |

I should offer my apologies to those at Post 3 that had to clear up my pork pie induced carnage. 3 pork pies in my lunch box and the 3rd session of the day saw the Noble go haywire as soon as it got into my blue-flagging zone at post 2 and hurtle into the tyres just before post 3.
Further pork pie magnetism could be seen later in the day when the red Ferrari 360 exiting the pit lane to go to the grid suddenly sensed the pork pies and made a lunge across the track straight at me. Have to agree with QBF, it was an excellent day and the company on post 2 was equal to that on post 3. Mental note for next year - 2 pairs of socks is not enough in November! Phill |

Apology accepted Pipsqueak111 .
The way the Noble was going at first we thought it was heading straight for the Ambulance Gate which could have made the accident much worse. I wore 3 pairs of socks and that was enough to keep my feet warm after wearing 2 pairs last year, i was wearing 4 layers everywhere else. |

Sounds like a missed an interesting day. I woke up at 5.15am Saturday morning full of good intentions to be there but due to an arm that wouldn't straighten after hurting my elbow, I couldn't even turn off the alarm clock let alone drive all the way to Brands.
I'm sorry I wasn't there as I wasn't able to say "see you next year" to all my Brands buddies, so I will do it here instead. I look forward to seeing you all again next season. |

Hi Claire.
You did indeed miss a good day - not only was paddock in the company of spottymarshall, pipsqueak111 and myself, we also had bacon sandwich for all her sins. Dare we ask how you hurt your elbow? Your apology is most welcome, consider yourself forgiven already (at least by me), and see you next year back Tim. |
