Lowndes/Seton 2006!

This is not news.This is a petition!
To: All at FoMoCo and 888.

Now that it seems Glenn is out of a full time drive for 2006, I think he should share car 888 with Craig Lowndes for the Enduros! Wouldnt a Lowndes Seton bathurst victory be cool? - For the Blue side anyhow!

Actually, is it too late to put him in car 88 for all of 2006? Contracts can be voided, stranger things have happened...

A Lowndes/Seton car should be sponsored by "The Good Guys"
(The Good Guys are an applliance chain store in NSW, direct competitor to Betta)

Think you may find that the FoMoCo have nothing to do with the selection of co-drivers for the enduros - 888 racing is run by Roland Dane , I 'm sure he is the one that will make the final selection : If Dane had wanted Seton for car 88 for the 06 season I'm sure Seton would have received the invitation before being officially turfed by DJR .

Well if LMS can get their cars a bit quicker a Bargs/Seton combination at bathurst would certainly be a strong one I would think...

Off topic for a bit, but is LMS Stone Brothers backed still? Imagine if Seto drove with SBR powerplants under the hood of his Falcon.

There is more to a good performance than just a good engine, they've had SBR engines the last two years and what have they done? Something else is the problem.

Perhaps signing Seton could lead them in the right direction, i'd love to see him keep his seat. If he was smart he would be talking to Garry Rogers or Tasman.

LMS haven't had the current spec SBR motors tho as they can't afford them.

I'd prefer to see Seto with a full time drive but it has to be asked at this late stage with the drives available what would be better for his reputation & chance at better drives in the future another full year in a struggling team or an enduro drive with a top team.

I wouldn't say Tasman are a "struggling team". GRM, LMS & Dynamik/Longhurst yes, but not Tasman.

Seton has stated that he values loyalty and wants to repay the loyalty Ford has shown him by staying with Ford. I can't imagine Seton at Holden. But stranger things have happened.

Lowndes and Seton would be a dream pairing at 888. Don't think it is on the cards with Whincup there. Maybe a long distance pairing only (hopefully).

Ingall/Seton and Courtney/Youlden at SBR perhaps?

Why should Lowndes be given the task of carrying Seto and his bad luck around Bathurst? Why not give Seton to someone who has already won Bathurst a few times to avoid absolute disappoinment, like, say, Skaifey, he's already had enough success at Mt Panorama, let him co-drive with the sport's biggest 'jonah'?

Dane might pair Whincup with Lowndes for Bathurst? You never know.

He did pair Wilson and Radisich together in 2003.

But yes Seton at T888 with Lowndes would be a popular move and a very sensibile one. Two second placings in '03 and '04 prove that.

But Glenn admits that not driving all year and then driving for 2 rounds is a big ask in terms of producing similar lap times to the A driver.
