Toyota 2007: For Kimi read Michael?!
A latest report is suggesting Schu could decide to take the plunge with Toyota if he decided to race on when he leaves Ferrari....
The brothers racing in the same team perhaps?! hmmm...... |

Interesting to mulll over the possibility of the brothers pairng up though?
As Weber says 'that is no longer a problem'. If MS does move there i would have thought it would be in place of Ralf not join him? |

Depends what Toyota have in plan then, and how Ralf performs in 2006.

Yeah, this seems to be part of a logical progression for them.
Get the team and car right first and then get a real ace to lead their charge for the titles. I like Jarno, who i really think just needs a consistently quick car to achieve wins and Ralf is good on his day but can we say that either of them are real aces? As they say where there's substance there's.... |

Whether or not the brothers would be okay with it is another question. But I agree, if it were to happen it would probably in place of Ralf anyway. |

Mind you there would be massive media coverage if the brothers did pair up!
As you say unlikely though.... If MS does the deal Ferrari would surely soon announce Kimi and quite possibly signal the end of Ralf in F1. |

There is a 1% chance that will happen. And that is a quote from Weber himself.

I'm afraid that if this ever happens, pairing with TGF would be disastrous for Ralf.
It's hard enough to be lil brother of a multi-champion in different teams, you can always have the excuse "the team is not good enough" but then... |

Excellent comments! Perhaps Toyota's top brass have finally worked out they signed the wrong Schumacher and are trying to rectify matters |

Spot on.
Ralf would never accept to pair with Michael. |

I agree that it's highly unlikely for MS to change teams, but it would be very interesting to see.

Well we wouldn't have previously predicted Fernando leaving Reanult to join McLaren would we?
Lets see how Toyota get on relative to Ferrari in the first half of the season, that'll give us a clue about MS's thoughts on 2007... if Toyota win a race, and Ferrari are equal or behind them, that'll indicate to him that Toyota are headed the right way and maybe enough incentive to make the move. And there it is! A century in 27 months! Kevin Pietersen eat ya heart out!! |

I don;'t think either Michael or Ralf would have much to gain from this, unless Michael is that desperate to race on and that sure Ferrari will be uncompetitive.

One note of caution here. The German press have a surprisingly bad relationship with the Schumacher Brothers. Some of the stuff they've printed about Ralf in particular has made even the rubbishy end of our tabloids look like Mr Men books.
I don't know what kind of reputation Bild has. But I wouldn't set too much stall by what the German press has to say about the Schumachers. |

Nah, I think Schumacher will end his career at Ferrari. I'll enjoy Schumacher's driving even more, because he might end his career after 2006. Hopefully he will end his career with another world championship title.

I DO get a laugh the way the media reports this and in typical fashion, I might add:
Weber's statement, to the tune of saying Schumi is 99 percent certain to end his career at Ferrari. Media's spin (and from several different sources) = Schumaker hints at going to Toyota I'd love to see it, but it is more than remote. |

Would be very interesting to see the brothers running in the same colours, however, I think it is not very likely. I doubt it whether MS will continue racing after this season, especially if Ferrari are not in a good form again.
