April Features

Q&A with Gary Hamilton -In 12 months, Gary Hamilton has turned many
heads in the Queensland Sports Sedan paddock, with a series of very
smart and smooth drives in his little Datsun 1000. Even at Queensland
Raceway, where horsepower is normally a deciding factor as to who gets
onto the podium, the rotary rocket is regularly knocking off the big
V8s. Mark Walker caught up with him after the first round of the Sport
Sedan State Championship at Queensland Raceway.

QLD Sports Sedan Championship February 24/25 Queensland Raceway -A
strong 22 car field of cars was entered for an unbearably hot weekend's
racing at Queensland Raceway for the first round of the State
Championship. At a complex that usually suits the big V8s, their
advantage was somewhat lost with the announcement that Short Circuit 'B'
was to be used for all racing; which reflected in the results of the
meeting.

Wild Weather for Lakeside's Birthday -Mother Nature didn't come to
Lakeside's 40th birthday bash on the weekend of the 17th/18th March.
After two days of stinking hot conditions, a series of storms wreaked
havoc, causing two red flags and the cancellation of two races.

Shed Talk - Go to Shed Talk to read all about Ash Lowe's progress in
season 2001. And don't forget, if you have any news or press releases,
please send them to us here atAccelerate and we will gladly post it on
the site.

2001 State Championship Dates -Season 2001 promises to be a bumper one
for all classes of Queensland Motorsport. Recently we posted the full
calendar here. Here we will have a closer look at which classes are
planning to run at the listed meetings.
