FIM Winners Game Thread.
Round 8 of the Summer Cup, second last round.
I'm sorry about my delay with classifications. Assen is on saturday, so I'm not going to delay this thread any more! Remember: ASSEN'S RACES ARE ON SATURDAY, NOT SUNDAY! Rules are: ---------------------------------------------- Object of the game: You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners. Scoring: If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points. If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points. In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points. If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points. If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points. Time limit: Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race. Remarks: Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like. Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them. The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points! There will be two separate championships: Summer Cup until mid season and Autumn Cup in the second part of the season. In case of tie, it is ahead who has better score in the last round, then in the second last round, etc. If still there is a tie in "Total" category, it is ahead who has more points in MotoGP, then in 250cc. Finally, if all of that fails, it is ahead who has guess earlier in the last round (and here we cannot tie anymore!). Example: Let's suppose in Jerez you put the following guesses and the real winners are Simoncelli, Angelis and Rossi: 125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli) 250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed) MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi) |

Alf... I mean Hayden
Lorenzo Kallio Rossi's injuries mean he'll not be able to conjure so much magic. Injury/collisions are the only things that stop this man. |

Saleen dude, Capirossi is half dead, the Ducati is not performing at Assen so far in practice either. You reckon he's going to win on Saturday? Do you know something we don't?
There are a lot of injured guys who are going to be feeling pretty second rate at the end of the race, Rossi, Melandri, Capirossi etc. I think it is safe to rule them out of a victory on Saturday. I could be wrong. |

I think Gibernau is out for some weeks. It's amazing how the best way to be favourite for a win is being injured
BTW, I share asha's guesses |

What a finish! I was screaming at the TV and jumping up and down when I thought Edwards would keep it on the island and get his first win.

That's a bummer for Old Col, he did a great job in catching up again at the last few corners but....
It does mean I get perfect score in the FIM Winners game! Hayden - BOOM Lorenzo - BOOM Kallio - BOOM I thank you! |

Damn, I went through so many emotions: Joy, Fear, Sadness, HEART ATTACK and then I wanted to go off and cry somewhere.
Bad luck Col, you'll do it next weekened! By the way, this is the first time since joining Honda that he's crashed of his own accord, and it'll break that older than jesus points scoring streak also. Double Drat. |
