£123 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Antwerpen IRC

Here is a track i made some months ago... Antwerpen International Racing Circuit!

It's totally flat and goes in a clockwise direction. The track is 4.5 kilometers long.

1991+

1967-1991 - http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?i...9671991wp8.gif
1939-1967 - http://img20.imageshack.us/content.p...9391967la0.gif

1990 Proposals
Proposal 1: http://img20.imageshack.us/content.p...oposal1pe0.gif
Proposal 2: http://img20.imageshack.us/content.p...oposal2gx6.gif
Proposal 3: http://img170.imageshack.us/content....oposal4gs0.gif

And finally a detailed map... http://img218.imageshack.us/content....cdetaildx4.gif

History:

The Antwerpen IRC was built in 1939 and was a very, very fast circuit. It hosted some non-championship Formula One races in the 1960. A fatal crash in the last corner 1967 forced the owners to make some changes to the circuit. A new last corner was built, they also made some changes to turn 7.

In 1981 the Antwerpen IRC was bidding for the Belgian Grand Prix, but with Spa as opponent, they did'nt get the GP. To provide better overtaking possibilities the owners decided to make some changes to the circuit. Several proposals were suggested. In 1991 the changes were made, with a new first corner and a chicane added before turn 6 (5). Two short circuits were also built.

When Spa was unable to host the Belgian GP in 2006, it was replaced by IRC. The race was a really exciting one. Alonso was leading the race after half distance, when Schumacher tried to pass him in turn four. Both cars collided and Massa took over the lead, but on lap 51 (of 65) he got out of fuel and was forced to retire. Now Fisi was in the lead and was holding that position with just four laps left when he crashed in the chicane. The safety car came out and Berndt Maylander hold the field behind him until it was only one lap left. Kimi was in the lead but was passed by both Trulli and Rosberg in the chicane. In the penultimate corner Trulli made a mistake and Rosberg was able to win the GP before Trulli and Räikkönen.

Any comments?

I think the proposal 2 is the best.

That's quite an entrance to make for a 1st post.

A very good first effort

Wow, what a sweet track (current version a/k/a proposal 1). It's got the slow sections and the fast sections, it's got the flow, interesting corner shapes and nice blot shape. It's all there, so much that I don't miss altitude changes at all.
And the 'history' is high quality, too. Thanks for posting. I hope to see you write in here again.
