Nathan Kinch retires
I don't think this has been mentioned elsewhere so here it goes.
I read in this weeks Autosport that Nathan Kinch will be hanging up his boots from racing at the end of this season "to do something else". He says he will drive his fathers historic cars when he can. I've always quite rated him as a driver. It seems a shame for a driver of his age, 24, to stop so early. Business commitments maybe? Does this leave a seat open for Marino Franchetti next year? |

Perhaps he's finding that he either can't or doesn't want to be a pro driver, and realizes he has to make steps towards making it in the "real" world? I could understand that, but I do hope he comes back. For a gentleman driver he's always been extremely impressive.

Kinch, Win Percy and Martin Stretton (think it was him), were a class apart. |

A big shame not to have Kinch in motorsport, he is a good driver and with time he could have gone on to become great. Still, you never know he may come back one day.

Thank you FIRE, although I don't agree that he is such a good racing driver as everyone on that thread.
