Britcar Brands

OK who's up for this one,
I will be going even though the nice people at the DVLA have taken my driving licence due to my eye injury but i passed there tests so confused over that.
Still you know you got good mates when they will give me a lift down even though they live in basingstock and i swindon.

I'll be there, first time at Brands in orange in over 18months.
I should remember where things are, if not I'll just make sure I get to grips before it gets dark...

Ditto! First time for me in over 12 months! Looks like a small invasion from 'up north'...

I think I may take a jaunt up there but only to watch from the wrong side of the fence. Then, when it gets too cold and wet, I can go home!

I'll be thinking of you all as I suffer the heat (30+) in Dubai for the FIA GT's. Don't get too cold/wet or both and play safe.

Sadly, due to lack of funds, I won't be able to get down for this one. Hope the meeting goes well and is dryer than the first Brands Britcar night race a number of years ago!!

Why do I fear that is going to be a boring day? Probably a very wet and / or cold one too.

And endurance racing as well. I don't like that.

Now, I could stay home, but I won't.

Alec, still time for me to go along?

Oooh if I was a bit more local to brands and had a way of getting there.

Just a slight fly in the ointment.

Don't Panic about the weather. Watched local ITV news (Meridian News)
tonight and they say it will be wet !!

Then watched BBC local news and they say it will be dry on Saturday !!

Then again Brands has its own weather. Just pack for rain. hail, snow and pestilence etc ......

To all visitors welcome on Saturday and for those from oop north don't forget your passports

Eddy, welll done on your raffle win last weend. For thosewho don't know , he won the MSVR raffle prize of a day at race school at Brands. See you on Saturday.

Eddy, you'd better pay a bit more and take the speed camera avoidance course as well!

Dunno what you mean, Mike

Don't mention it further, but I've found a contraption in my car that when I push that thing down the car slows, amazing.

By the sound of it that's the last night time race at Brands. Pity really as it is spectacular, but the turnout was low and the costs are going to go up again. This makes it no longer viable apparently.

Great pity, it was overall a good meeting.
Britsports grids did leave something to be desired, to say the least, but at least they still tried in part to have a bit of a battle to keep us entertained.
Britcars however were definitely well worth the trip - and there is just that certain "something" about a night race that adds to the feeling.
Add that to good weather (if cold) and the good company on 9 - I'm glad I made the appearance to prove that I am still a marshal!!
