Another person having problems with BT Broadband!

I have several customers who had similar problems and it's cost them quite a lot in lost business. BT don't seem to want to give any compensation either.

Fortunately I've been with Virgin for years and so far it's been ok.

Its been very frustrating-spoken to some bloke in India hundreds of times-why cant I speak to someone in England at all? ...anyway after I did my own tests it showed that it was the modem that wasn't allowing a signal through...got a new modem and stuff and I was away...but 5 weeks though...Doh!

Switching from BT this coming week. Their service doesn't seem to bad but the help line is less than useless. The thing that pesuaded me was a saving of £21 per month and an extra 14mb.

BT's customer "service" is appauling, it took nearly a month before they would let us fully switch over.

And I thought I was having problems with Telewest, by not being able to send e-mails over 1mb!

As usual it went down on me (the only thing that does now-a-days) on a Friday, but was back working properly first thing monday morning!

Can anyone tell me the price of BT broadband?

Pete, they do various types-think mine is now an 8mb or possibly 6mb broadband though they do a higher one if needed. Mine also allows free weekend calls and evenings though you will need a new phone number-it all goes through the broadband connection. Give BT a call or look-up "BT Broadband" on the BT website and it gives all the info.

One thing I found out. For the non-technically minded. When they say 8mb Broadband is quicker than 4mb! That is the download!

When you are sending e-mail, it goes at the same speed whatever your broadband 'width' is!

i mean its just enough to upload stuff to your website, or send e-mails, but not fast enough to set your pc up as a webserver and have loads of people accessing files on it at a decent speed.
