Sad news for Thruxton tree huggers
I was driving round Thruxton today and could not believe my eyes. The tree above post 9 is down. That tree has been part of the landscape for decades. When it is cleared away, the view from the Complex is going to be very different.

Andy, when you say "down" is that blown down or cut down? It's going to ruin that haven of shade and shelter on hot or rainy days.
RIP The Tree |

I didn't get close enough to see, but I suspect it blew down.

I think that by the time a new tree offers some shade, Susie's kids will be old enough to be on post.
Sorry, I don't 'do' spades, I'm management, remember? |

Didn't think about taking a picture. It would have been really good as there was a buzzard perched in it!
