Snetterton Training Day 28/1/07
Many thanks to all involved in organisation of the Snetterton Training Day, which certainly covered all apsects of marshalling and had something of interest for all grades from trainee's to observer's.
Good to see so many people there including many new marshals already kitted up in orange, which demonstrates their enthusiasm and intent to become regular members of the team. Thanks also for the drivers and to the circuit staff for their assistance and for the Tyrrell's restaurant team for keeping us fed and watered etc. Roll on April 1st!!!! Terry |

Terry,
Sounded great. Sorry I couldn't be there, I had work commitments Pleased to hear there were so many new marshals. A word to them; I shall be going to about 10 meetings at Snetterton this year, including BTCC, F3/GT and the 2CV 24 hrs. I shall be driving up from North London. If anyone has transport problems and is near my route (not Swansea!), and would like to go, PM me and I'll see what I can do. Not long now Terry Did they have any training on how to use big magnets? |

Manet and drill
Did they have any training on how to use big magnets?
Well yes. The big magnet was used to put the rover on its side so that we could turn it right way up again. After that we could have used a big saww to cut helmets off any marshal who got too big for their boots. A good day, well put together and the chance to play with big toys. |

Pete,
It is true that Snetmarshal & I completed our training day with the practice session by the pumps and checking that that the bar height hadn't been changed over the winter - someone had to do it-unfortunately however no one to serve at the pumps so we went home "dry" and a lot earlier than with the normal "de-briefs"!! Nick, I will have been completely de-magnetised by April 1st - if not could we could all be in big trouble!! Andy (Snetmarshal) has been delegated the honour of Chief Magnet holder for 2007 and will benefit from more than a little help from our crew!! Terry |
