M-Power should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Privat Ford Focus S2000 Project is stopped?

In 2005 were two new Ford Focus S2000 in the WTCC. The drivers were Thomas Klenke and Thomas Jäger and later Michael Funke. I've read that this project was supported by Ford Europe. The Ford logo was also on the Car.
But after the first season the project stopped. After that i didn't heard anything about this project. Are the cars sold? My information was that the team owner, Hans Hotfiel, wanted to race in 2006 with these cars. But there was no car on the grid.

I can't read german too well, but they might be turning up in the Procar series this year?

Lists Chevrolet Lacetti's, Toyota's, BMW's, Astra's, Accord's and Civic's if I'm babelfishing correctly.

Well, they did before, but there was only one car out there this season (driven by an Austrian I believe), and only briefly, if memory serves me right.

Ford allegedly developed these cars for use by privateers. But going by what they managed I'm not suprised no-one else wanted to use them.

Golden Motors is going to enter 4 (yes, four!) Ford Focus in RTCC this year, so maybe ex-WTCC cars are now in Russia.

I know that Hans Hotfiel and Ford Europe went to court to check up which site is the owner. But the last information i received was in may or june 2006.
Hotfiel Sport wanted to race the Focus in 2006 in WTCC. I read the beru10.de page and there were listed old Ford Focus ST from 2004 but not the new model.

I think Ford claimed they established a good foundation on which privateers could build upon and further develop the Focus on their own. After that, they pulled out, but I think they were still willing to support Independents. But I guess without manufacturer R&D support, they abandoned the project?

I bet those Fords would go well in the BTCC with the right drivers.

Didn't they get into the top 10 at Orschesleben? The nature of that track is more like the british circiuts than most other WTCC tracks.

The new entry list for the 2007 season isn't out. But i think that there are no new ford focus. The old wtcc fords from 2005 are now in russia.
