I thought that was Nick Fry - so finally his influence is being seen.

Oh dear! that looks ridiculous. hopefully they'll ban these silly wings on aesthetic grounds like they did in 98 or those sidepod wings

Geoff Willis must be ****ing himself with laughter.
Can't wait for the "B" car! Personally,I'd be glad to see an end to anything that you could label "aero device". |

Yes, it is ugly. etc...
But does it work? It seems to be concerned with the flow of the air and channelling that, rather than being downforce generating in itself. It looks similar to the BMW vertical boards from the middle of last year, but in what is now a legal area of the car. It is possible that this adds downforce at the rear of the car. According to Autosport, the team have dropped it already as it did not provide any benefit

How ugly are they actually trying to make this car? Are they trying to lower their own 'standards' by out doing their very own 'half and half' livery.

Honda drop something because they don't think it works. Should we expect all other teams to sprout these devices at the next race?
Oh well, it was a nice idea. |

I think there is a link in the other Honda thread saying they will not race with it. I don't see why it would banned though. Unlike the BMW winglets, these don't appear to be in the line of sight for the driver. Or at least they appear much lower. And they certainly don't look like wings.
Edit: Ok, I lied, just checked the other thread and found no link. |

Experimentation is the name of the game when looking for those extra tenths and hundredths.
The "solutions" seem to be getting rather wilder lately, which creates interest, if sometimes for the wrong reasons! |

I certainly would not care to be behind one of those 'ears' if it came off and was heading in my direction!
Could work though! |

Oh for crying out loud.....
Why are there more stupid flapping bits and bobs.... It's rediculous, the cars look like they have tumours growing from them, now the car behind has no chance at all of getting close.... Utterly stupid. *slams door like a girl* |
