Anglesey

Well my first visit to this circuit and it certainly is different. Flipping windy and a bit cold but what a backdrop the sea makes.
Lovely collection of corners and straights and I am sure it will become a great place to go and visit when it is (completely) finished.
For spectators it is rather hard - the best view spot is a very long walk from the paddock and the banks are steep to climb. The fences are just 2 wires so don't impede on the viewing.
A few kerbs would be great - too many cars went a little wide and dug in with disasterous results for one or two.

Kerbs are on their way - however, not until the end of the season when the Circuit staff will have a better idea of where to put them. At the moment where ever there is a long line of cones that is, presumably, where the kerbing will go.

Kerbs

Well if the kerbs are only going to be where the cones were then i think they will have a lot more holes at the side of the track very soon,, i take it that there is going to be some matting put down to stop the holes at the side of the track and to stop all the large stones being kicked up by the drivers running a tad wide,,,,, or they could just let the holes develope into pits...I remember a nice hole at the side of Old Hall ( OULTON ) the drivers use to hit that and then go straight across the track to the nice big tree unless they collected other cars on the way across even Tiff Nedell found it

I was also present on the Saturday and I must say that I was very impressed with the job they've done so far. When it's all finished it should be a popular venue, the only thing going against it is it's rather out of the way location, but in some ways that is a plus because the Coastal setting really sets it apart.

I probably would return next year for a higher profile event if they can manage to get some booked up.

I have been reliably informed that the second phase of works will include an extended paddock and Pit Garages for "New" Pitlane.

Viewing areas will be improved - at present it's a little confusing as to where you can, and cannot view from without being moved on by the Marshals.

For those thinking about coming - do it! You won't be disappointed.
The BARC meeting (Legends) on June 30/July 1 is a guarenteed corker!
