spax damper adjustment method?

I have a pair of spax double adjustable dampers on the front of my UVA fugitive / rail, whereby there is an inner and outer adjuster screws, one for bump, and one for rebound…….now the million dollar question…….which screw adjusts bump or rebound?........

spax have rather craftily set up a technical help line at 50p per minute in order to tell you a real basic requirement that they should have put in the box to start with.

Failing this I suppose I could wind one fully clockwise, and I could feel which one does what

my rear dampers only have a stop at full soft, not the best adjusters, the fronts are better, and unlike some others at least you don't have to lay on the floor to tweak them !

Not sure is this is too obvious so maybe they don't work the way I think they do, but why don't you put the damper about half way down it's travel then close one of the valves and open the other. Then you should be able to either pull open or push closed the damper (but not the opposite) to tell you which is which.
