Michael Schumacher on Pole, Montoya Second
Michael Schumacher looked to be the Master of the field today.
Great job by Montoya to take a spot on the front row. (McLaren paired back on the fourth row! Bad set up? Poor tire choice???) Greta job by Heidfeld as well. Austria: Qualifying session P. Am running hot bath, listening to Leonard Cohen and reaching for sharp razors!

Don't worry there's plenty of hot water left in the bath.

Very interesting Quals.
Great effort from Williams and Montoya. Nick in fine form also. Alonso once again up on both Benettons. Poor efforts from McLaren, Frenzie, Jacques, & Benetton. When was the last time the Macs could'nt find there way to the front 3 rows in a dry session? This may be the beginning of the end........ |

It fuels the fire of "Alesi will quit at end of season" camp.

He may not beat Senna's record, but Michael is now establishing himself as one of the all time great qualifiers. However, I do not like his chances of leading into turn 1 given who he is lining up against.

JPM will take no prisoners. I think Ralfie might be not quite so gung-ho.

Montoya is going to make that first corner interesting. I just cannot figure out how McLaren so lost the plot. I expect both DC and Mika to make up places during the race and carve through. |

Oh botheration....Schumi 1-2 it is then tommorow.
And why did Ferrari/TGF be mean to me by sandbagging all weekend...I got all hopeful for Mika :/ It's a shame how pants that Mclaren is in the wind..ho-hum. Maybe Montoya will give me something to smile about. |

Great to see Montoya on the front row, should make it interesting tomorrow. The Macs had a bad problem with the balance in their cars, according to the reporters.

First Corner Tears?
Lap one. Turn One could be very interesting...
Can't see either of row one backing off in the first turn and with Rubens' new barging style the two silver cars may find row four a blessing in disguise! |

Tristan I agree ...and I hope you are right because the nightmare scenario is ( dare I even type it?) that the two of them take each other out a la ´Spartacus´.

I think Juan mad it clear in Brazil, that he will brake as late as he has to, to make the corner first. The others would be well advised to let him have it! With Rubens behind and no doubt panicked, this should be really interesting.
