Launch Control: Huge Liablity

Well, that was one heck of a start. Its bad enough when one car stalls on the grid, but four??? Its a wonder no one got hit. Monaco is the next race, if anyone stalls ofn the grid, there's no way to avoid them. Its time for the FIA to step in and order the systems to be shut down.

I agree. This whole e-driving (TC, Launch)thing seems to be doing more harm than good. I still think it helps the undertalented driver with a heavy foot more than the superior driver with good feel for the car and track. It also seems to pose a problem at the starts that may be quite dangerous.

A question:

Why didn't they (as in Bernie E) put this whole thing on a test basis between the seasons when the bugs could have been worked out of the systems, instead of dumping the changes on everybody, well into the season?. It looks to me that they're doing their research and development at the wrong time.

EERO: we have a funny habit of posting the same topic at the same time!! Great minds think alike!

Surley any benefits from TC/Launch control are rubbished by the huge drop-off in reliability....
