Great news a) that Geoff is back and b) that he is working alongside Adrian again! I never thought of such a move, but it's so logical really.
Let us hope he shows Honda what they are missing. |

Good move by red bull
Honda and Toyota should take note - Don't get rid of your good staff and replace them with people who mean well but don't really cut the mustard in Motorsport. With Newey and Willis together I reckon Red Bull could have a nice little tidy package next year. I bet DC's glad he's on board for another year. |

Red Bull are showing potential, their gearbox design is quite advanced and they haven't got the reliability sorted yet. It's probably too late for this season, but their points/$ ratio is a lot better than Honda or Toyota right now.

I wonder what the odds are on David Coulthard adding to his tally of victories before he retires?
I'm not suggesting that Red Bull will be serious rivals to McLaren and Ferrari next year, but the way things are going, they could be high enough up the grid to put themselves in the frame for a one-off victory a la Honda last season. |

Red Bull may be unreliable, but they are hiring the right people behind the scenes and the car is a rough gem that needs developing and refining.
Things are looking good for Red Bull. I think some other teams should take note of how it should be done... |

I can see red bull becoming a top contender for the championship in a other year or 2.

patience, patience, patience... whilst this is definitely good news for the future, it by no means indicates that the RBR will suddenly be a winner next year. I think it would be more realistic to think that RBR are putting the pieces in place for RBR to be nearing the the pointy end in 2009 or 2010. That's a more realistic timeline in modern F1 IMO. for instance look at bmw and their progress.
So, if 09 and 10 are the realistic timelines, then it would be a fair achievement for Messrs Webber & Coulthard to still be around by then. Not saying i doubt their talent or ability to do so, but my gut feeling is that both the current drivers will be phased out before the RBR is a winning car. thanks for the development years boys, be sure to enjoy your gold rolex... |

Another positive move by RBR ( or is it RBT now?).
I think what Red Bull is showing us is that if one of the Big Daddies of a large corporation that is getting involved in F1 has an inherent interest in motorsport, then there will be a genuine push for success. The usual corporate imperatives will remain, of course. |

good move by RBR starting to get some of the great experience in the team, all they need now is Ross Brawn , this is good news for them as they are putting together a stable and experenced team, IMO if they sort the reliability i can see them challenging Renault and BMW for 3rd in the constructors next season.

They need somebody high up with mechanical knowledge though. From my reckoning, both Newey and Willis were aerodynamicists'-turned-tech directors. They need a Patrick Head type, i guess today that'd be people like Jorg Zander. Not only to sort the gearbox, but to get the rest of the mechanical package such as tyres and suspension working to their peak.
Aero is obviously where the best $$$/performance ratio is now, but if thats all theyve got they wont be winning championships. That is the ultimate goal for the team afterall. |

Hey Peter Ford, best settle down, they are doing OK for their investment and will get better, but lets look at clearing Renault, to a lesser extent Toyota, and challanging BMW |
