TEGA/VESA Officially Merged??

According to Gordon Lomas TEGA and VESA's merger was approved at the last board meeting. Also according to Lomas Dr Hewson has fallen out of favour as the leader of the combined bodies. Kelvin O'Reilly will be in charge of the TLA's in the merged unity.

Gordon Lomas is the VESA wooden dummy, but I don't know who exactly is his ventriloquist.

Are you so sure Peckstar? Lomas loves the V8's, I remember he used to write words in AA (I say words because it definately wasnt journalism) in the mid to late 90's.

actually as i said im a mexican, i have no idea who gordon is only whats reported on here and usaly that opinion is off him being negative to V8's so thats all i base my comment on. now if it was Paul Gover i would have a much better idea.

And Pro racer. no it wasnt me. i did invent the method of holding it between two nails though, and having tried the flat bottom taco, ots not really that good

Interesting. Would a merger dilute SEL's holdings in the new entity? I had heard a story a few months ago that Hewson was looking for Tega to buy out SEL's share.

Matthew, if you believe Gordon Lomas, Dr Hewson is not the golden boy at the moment.

journo compromised on alleged Hewson sacking?

Interesting comment in AA by Mark Fogarty of a backgrounding of selected journalists peddling a Hewson sacked storyline.
The informant was wrong but Fogarty has not identified the source whilst noting the story had been 'spread from within the upper echelons of the sport'.
Why doesnt Fogarty name names or is it an example of a journo protecting his sources even when the info is deliberate misinformation?

There seem to be 2 sides... the Pro-Cochrane and the Pro-Hewson movements.

Mr Gore's T-shirt follies puts him firmly in the Pro-Cochrane camp. Not sure who is joining him in this view.

Could the informant have been TC himself?

Would you care to speculate how the sides line up - particularly Garry Rogers.

The situation would not have arisen at all if everybody was happy with TC. At least at one stage TC must have been in danger of being ousted, maybe still is.

the Artist is goooone and has been since the June long weekend. It is just the when and how that has to be worked out.Every stunt he pulls like thebackground briefing that Hewson had been flicked he is just digging a deeper hole for himself and convincing the real stakeholders in the series (the teams) that they must get rid of him.In this weeks AA he suggests himself he might walk away to which we all say-Bring It On.

My guess would be....

TC and Gore on one side..... against Hewson, all the other teams, Holden, Ford, Motorsport fans, and probably God (RIP Brock) all on the other side.

Oh, and Peckstar may possibly be on the TC/Gore side. Apologies for the slight on your name if this is not the case Peckstar....

Rumbles, your guess may or may not be better than mine ..... I am looking to see if the powder puff has anything to add.

OR, were any other of our posters briefed, are you there Falcadore ....

Do journos expose deliberate misinformation or do motorsport journos follow the Canberra press gallery in their professional ethics in this area.
