I found the battle for the lead never materialised, the safety car sucked some energy out of it and generally if I rate so many races 7, I have to rate some at the other end of the enjoyment scale 3.

5 rather tedious race...

Safety Car period far too long - and ruined the race for me, really - along with Hamilton's retirement which took away the key battle, although some interesting scraps further down the field. Didn't think the TV direction was particularly good, either......

Middling, overall, so 6.

Interesting tactically, some good moves, quite a few laps with nothing happening. 7

I recorded it and watched it on permanent fast-forward, and I didn't miss a thing. The only interesting incidents were the hamilton retirement and TGFs crash.

So for me it was about 20 min long and even that was boring. I understand that Singapore paid $75m for the rights.(!)

4. And that was being generous. The safety car rule is silly(takes too long to restart) - and Singapore just doesn't provide good racing.

gave it a 7 some good parts and some less so but overall better than most

It was ok up until the first caution, which went on for far too long as they recycled the back markers; they do it better in IndyCar. It picked up a bit with Massa's overtaking and a few incidents but it just slid back. 4.

I'm not a big fan of the track. Without the incidents and the safety car interventions, the race would have been a complete boredom.

I thought the SC was one of the contributing factors to the detriment of the race.

Didnt exactly kept me on the edge of my seat. And it would have been good to see a real end-game to the Vettel vs Hamilton saga. It's never good to see a technical failure so far up the grid, Maldonado's was pretty frustrating too.

5 Safety car periods too long , no Hamilton/Vettel battle towards the end .

6. Could have been good but the first safety car period was way too long. On the plus side I tweeted "Restarts breed restarts" about 10s before Scumi impaled JEV's car, so that gives it an extra point. Pity I didn't put a bet on.

As a two hour advert for the Singapore tourist board it rates a 10, as a 'race' a 2.

7. Interesting race. Not a classic. Turn (?) 10 needs a remodel. It just makes the cars, in whatever series, look clumsy and awkward.

I thought this was really quite electrifying. I gave it a 9. Lots of drama, lots of passing, lots of contact, and under the lights... what could be better? I will remember this race for a long time, much more than I will Spa or Monza.
