He didn't break the spirit of it because he was ahead before he passed Prost. That change on track had no impact on the race itself.

If Prost allowed that to affect his mind he's hardly worthy of the nickname Professor...

It's not so much about Kimi then the biggest part of his Ferrari career. Barichello said that Ferrari were treating him and Schumi on 2 different levels. Now Massa seems happy to be the number 2 driver in Ferrari. I don't really know about Irvine but I suspect he was treated the same way as Barrichello and Massa, all about Michael. Michael also never really faced top drivers in the same cars, Ferrari always looked at who would make a good 2nd driver and wouldn't be too much at risk of beating Micheal or ignoring team orders. I know Micheal refused to have JV (who was still very highly rated at the time) as a teammate in 2000.

I doubt the fact that Micheal never faced real opposition at equal levels in his Ferrari days like Senna did with Prost will tarnish is career or the memory we have of him.
