From natsoft-

20 54 Rod Nash Racing Craig Baird Holden Commodore VX 48 0 48
-Obviously out of the points on Sunday.

It is the same car Longhurst drove last year.

I thought Nash had two cars, did he sell one? If not, why isn't James Brock out there from the word go?

I did an advanced driving course at Ian Luffs Motivation Australia on Monday and was talking to Warren Luff about the Adelaide weekend (Warren won the Ute races for the weekend).

Anyway, he said that James Brock has said he wants to get more experience under his belt before he tries to step in and play with the big boys. Sounds like a very level headed guy to me.

I raced against James at QR a couple of years ago, very down to Earth, quite shy in fact and not at all over inflated. He is however not a bad driver, very neat and tidy and not slow. I'm glad he is not rushing to get into the main event, he could use more experience.

In my opinion James Brock is not a talented driver, this does not make him a bad driver it just means that he wouldn't have a chance without his stepfathers money.
I remember when Peter Brock retired James said that he had no ambition to be a race driver.

If I had the backing that James has I could be a V8 driver and possibly a good one.

Twice in my career I almost made it to Bathurst (I even got my name in the programme once!) but lack of money has has hurt a lot of racing drivers dreams even mine!

Morris 1100, as good as you think you are, without knowing how good you are as a driver or a talker, I don't think you could done as well as James did at his debut win on the Mountain in terrible conditions.

C'mon D.R.T, that race was the racing equivelant of the WWF. Brock was given the win with dodgy underhanded goings on by the orgnisers to try and promote their new category.

Everybody was circulating under the pace car needing to pit wondering if the race was going to be red flagged. The organisers assured them the race would go the distance so they pitted - as soon as Brock was in front due to the leaders pitting they red flagged the race so they could claim the Brocky legacy had reclaimed the mountain.

I had pole position at my Bathurst debut!
I have had a class win at Bathurst!

James Brock led how many laps without the pace car?

i think young jamie is doing well
he is doing well with Pete in the targa
notice even before the crash of Steve Richards and Cole
how far ahead of them (same car, same team)a old retired bloke and a never will be, mixing it with the 4wd porsches and skylines

Jamie has got the best tutor around
easing himself into to it
not making a dick of himself like Forbes
even Jnr had alot to learn to get where he is (and a overpaid import of a co driver)
Baird is doing a stella job in the team Brock car
Ron Harrop is on board
the only way is up baby

UMMMMM, I don't think young James is a chip off the old block. Gotta do some digging but James Brock AKA Brock McIntosh is the biologocal son of one James McIntosh of Sydney I'm pretty sure. This all goes in the same Peter Brock myth basket along with the fact that Bev isn't actually his wife. She changed her name by deed poll in December 1980 to Beverley Brock (from Beverley McIntosh) but I don't think they were ever married.

Clarification anyone?

Also the Future Tourer victory at Mount Panorama is another nice bit of Brock magic. The car was not quite kosher so I've been told. Heard that from an old HDT mech too.

The reason for his reluctance to jump in with both feet is because James can't drive a nail into wood let alone a race car.
